How so you might ask--they didn't get thrown out of the solar system--did they? No but lets list a few areas where the news has not been good for them.
1) Their Plamegate position has turned out to be wrong. I haven't seen any liberal media acknowledge it except for the Washington Post but can the NY Times and Boston Globe and Dan Rather be far behind? They would not want to be considered biased would they?
2) A Michigan judge has issued a ruling on the administration's NSA wiretap program that is so partisan and silly that it will be overturned quickly. It is disappointing that an elegant liberal like Laurence Tribe will sacrifice his dignity and integrity to defend the ruling. Their discussions on HuffPo and Kos would remind you of the Red Sox fans celebrating being ahead of the Yankees at the All Star Break. There is no trophy for that.
3)John Murtha is all over the place. Try to say Okinanwa without giggling. I can't do it. They are celebrating a guy who couldn't beat Forest Gump at checkers.
4) Their darling Cynthia McKinney went down to defeat. She was the one they defended as being the victim of racism by a Capitol police man.
5) William Jefferson gave new meaning to the term 'cold cash'.
6) The heat wave broke so now their columns can't be filled with blaming George Bush for Global Warming. And even better Al Gore bored younger people than usual to tears at the MTV Awards.
7) The 2nd Saddam trial is starting and we will be able to hear what this fellow did to innocent children and their parents. It makes it hard to wave him off as just a bad guy.
8) They abandoned and are trying to destroy their VP candidate from 6 years ago--Joe Lieberman. The world is able to see that foul mouthed children have the power in the democratic party.
I do feel bad for Pluto. My motto has always been-size doesn't matter. But I'm not sorry for the democrats. They can rejoin the adult world just by acting grown up.
