No, it's not a trick question. The only worthwhile thing is to get me to vote for John McCain. I read that in one of Thomas Sowell's Random Thought columns the other day and thought it was worthwhile to pass on. John McCain pobably could never get me to vote for him, but Barack and Hillary can.
Let's start with Barack. No need to go farther than Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Barack stayed in the Trinity Church, called Jeremiah his mentor and then put him on an advisory committee in his campaign. When you do that, you own his thoughts. His anti American, anti White rhetoric is yours and it is way more than controversial--it is dangerous and vile and insane and stupid. His thoughts on the source of Aids and crack cocaine is a conspiracy worthy of the vast left wing--to paraphrase Hillary. His wife with her anger fed right into the Trinity Church. To top it off, I read that 11% of democrats and 30% of blacks are more likely to vote for Barack because of this controversy. Scary, eh?
Let me offer an analysis here and a prediction. He is getting away with this during the nomination battle because Hillary has a tough time attacking him for it. She wants those votes in the end. And he is the darling of the MSM--hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil as far as they are concerned. But during the general election, this will be a weight that he needs to shake off. The conservative 527's will not be so gentle. So my prediction----Barack will leave the Trinity Church before the fall campaign starts. Some event will occur--maybe even Jeremiah's speech at the NAACP Dinner--a new outrage that Barack never knew about(sure) and has caused him to reevaluate Jeremiah and the church and he just has to withdraw. Moderate voters--swing voters--will never accept anti American Hate Speech. Doesn't that make sense?
As for Hillary, it is never a good sign when you have become a joke and the Washington Post gives you the rare, unless you are a Clinton, 4 Pinnochio award for lies told. Bosnia was the one that got the award but so many others qualified. Late night talk show hosts need her but the rest of us don't. I don't think Hillary's record needs any explanation. Why would congress or our allies, or an enemy even, ever believe her or Bill on anything. You need moral and ethical standing to be President--your word must be your bond. No Clinton qualifies and the fact that she has support of almost half the democratic party tells you a lot about liberal democrats. Sad--sad--sad--scary--scary--scary.
